Caterina Germani, the
author of Perfect Shape, is a graduate in Movement Sciences
at The University of L’Aquila in Italy. Since, she has
been dedicated to the study and teaching of various disciplines
which are geared toward recreating and maintaining the ancient
relationship between the Human Being and his/her nature.
Through her research she has expanded her knowledge
of alternative therapies as well as traditional methods from
different cultures. Her experience in the field of movement
and physical training ranges from martial arts (Ju-jitsu,
Tai Chi Chuan and Self Defense Instructor), Oriental therapeutic
techniques (Shiatsu, Qi Gong and Tao movements for health
and longevity) as well as western methods such as lymphatic
drainage, Bach Flower therapy and IRECA energy technique. |
She now practices and teaches these disciplines at the Movement
Study Center in Italy and abroad. She is regularly invited abroad
to teach her method. She has shared several years of study on muscular
physiology, kinesiology and training methods with Dr. Marco Santello,
technical consultant for Perfect Shape.
Throughout the book the author guides us to a new way of interacting
with, and listening to, our bodies . In addition to the specific
indications which follow every lesson, the author provides important
and relevant insight deriving from this method, carrying us beyond
a mere physical experience to the very breathing of our souls…
It is as if the heart, focusing on its own effort, gradually discovers
new paths to the soul. Nutrition, discipline, the correct use of
the energy,Attention, Intention, and Dedication,
are the key concepts that open the door of our consciousness and
our inner strength, which will guide us to a new dialogue with our
bodies through the harmonious development of every muscle. Thus
we are able to fully enjoy the greatest gift we have been given:
Life..
